Laurie Tolson, VP of All Things Java at Sun, has now left the company. I know Laurie through various open source Java things, including the ongoing war battles over the Java SE TCK. I have great respect for her, and wish her the best at her new job.

My friend Tom Marble is leaving Sun.

Tom and I have been doing hand-to-hand combat over 'free' Java, open source Java, Apache's relationship with Sun, the TCK license battle for years now. He's a worthy opponent and I really respect him. His new things sounds great, and I can't wait until he reveals more publicly.
