"In my pants"
[ kevin ] 12:14, Tuesday, 23 September 2003

Adding the phrase "in my pants" to the end of any sentence makes it immediately funny.

For example: "I have a meeting to go to." Becomes "I have a meeting to go to in my pants." Which is far funnier.

This revelation was passed on to me by the best tech writer I know, Mark (who yesterday forgot how to spell "does"). The comic genius behind "in my pants" is one Sean Cummins whom I've never met "in my pants".

Sorry Sean, but that's a variation of an old episode of Paul Jenning's "Round the Twist" kids TV show.

WITHOUT MY PANTS Pete is inflicted with a bizarre speech defect. He compulsively adds the words "without my pants" to the end of every sentence with hilarious and embarrassing results.

I got a similar advice some years ago, though I was advised to modify every line of a song and to place "in pants" for odd lines and "without pants" for even lines. Makes a nice mod for some songs...
