Spineless politicians back out of the "Religious Hatred Law"

I was very pleased with the original form of the "Religious hatred law". For years I have had to put up with the ridicule of my beliefs, the belittling and humiliating depiction of our leaders and the constant mockery of that which I hold most sacred to my heart. Q&A: Religious hatred law

I am most disheartened to see that the spineless British politicians were unable to see their convictions through to the end and that the bill has been watered down to a useless and confusing state. I consider it a personal slight on my brothers and sisters that Tony Blair did not vote; it shows his deliberate contempt of our cause, for the lack of his one vote was the reason for its failure to pass and thus denying us the protection that we are due. For this reason I demand the British Government gives a full apology and that Tony Blair undertakes a religious pilgrimage to pay homage and ask for forgiveness from the grave of Linda McCartney. No more shall her sausages suffer indignation, the days of the vegetarian fart jokes are numbered and the dropping of meat products in the vegetarian section at the super market will be a criminally punishable offence. The sacred beliefs of the vegetarian shall be respected.
