Books I have not written
[ Aslak Hellesoy ] 10:12, Monday, 13 December 2004

For some reason that is beyond me I have supposedly written 2 books:

Excel 2003 VBA Programmer's Reference

Professional Xdoclet 2.0

It is true that Ara Abrahamian, Erik Hatcher and I were thinking about writing a book about XDoclet a couple of years ago, but it never happened. But claiming that I have written a book about Excel VBA is just plain hilarious. (The Amazon page for this VBA book doesn't have this incorrect information).

Hmm wait a minute, can I claim royalties for this?

Comments

This is getting even weirder! Amazon also lists the (never written) XDoclet2 book: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0764557408/qid=1102933360/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/002-4229440-8512826?v=glance&s=books

Apparently people liked it - but the comments are about - yes, it's true - the Excel VBA book!

It doesn't look like the VBA book has the same ISBN number as the (non-existant) XDoclet2 book either

Weird stuff. How the hell did this happen??

Best part about xdoclet 2: it is published by Frommers!

I always knew you were a M$ sellout :)

Besides, isn't that a picture of you with the big ears on the VBA book?

Hey, you since you're in Chi-town, you should come down to Atlanta, we'll go on a bar crawl...

Search on Amazon for Aslak yields the following titles:

Aslak where are you? by Viola Wahlstedt

and

The Saga of Aslak by Susan Price

LOL!
